Specific Objectives

1. To develop a competitive and modern multitask OC-Tech vessel in aluminium.

The objective is to design a competitive vessel integrating specific elements, equipment and features required by the market and clients. Some of the more characteristic aspects are:

1- Control bridge located in one of the sides of the ship.

2- Marine crane located in the opposite side to the control bridge, to move and load heavy equipment, for loading and unloading operations of the stored wastes, etc.

2. To develop OC-Tech innovative cleaning and treatment systems.

The objective is to further research and improve the existing patented cleaning systems, to upgrade and integrate them in OC-Tech vessel.

Waste collection system

Innovative system to collect broad variety of floating waste, without using chemical products nor flocculants that pollute water bodies.

Research and development methodology for the waste collections system:

Stage 1: computational calculations CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).
Stage 2: development of scale-models for testing in the artificial hydraulic channel.
Stage 3: development of real-scale models.
Stage 4: Assembly and real test in the lab-ship.

Waste concentration system

Innovative system for a continuous waste storage, which allows to work for longer periods, avoiding too frequent waste discharges in the port. It is located on the ship deck, counting on a waste input and a clean-water output to the sea.

Research and development methodology for the waste concentration system:

Stage 1: designs.
Stage 2: development of scale-models for testing.
Stage 3: development of real-scale models.

 

 

Bulky waste collection system

Bulky waste collection system: innovative system that storages the collected bulky waste in different tanks than other floating waste.

It is located at the bow of the ship, working in continuous operation, placing the collected bulky waste in tank located on the deck.

Research and development methodology for the bulky waste collection system:

Stage 1: designs.
Stage 2: integration of devices during testing under real conditions in the lab-ship.
State 3: development of real-scale models.
